SECO is hands down the best event in the MHC industry as it caters to people who have no experience in the industry all the way to people who have been in the industry for 30+ years. Everyone is there to connect and lend their particular expertise in a way that no other industry event offers.

I enjoy attending SECO every year for the new friendships created with other park owners and industry suppliers. I find that they are dealing with the same issues that I’m dealing with and it’s helpful to discuss those with them and hear what they are doing to overcome them. I also enjoy sharing what knowledge I have with other park owners. I’ve never been to SECO when I didn’t learn something new. It’s both fun and profitable and I mark my calendar for it every year.

The first time I went to SECO, I was blown away at how welcoming and friendly the people were, not to mention the value in the content. While I do not conduct a lot of business in the South East, it is worth it to travel from Denver. The networking has been phenomenal – in fact, I ended up joining a team of people I met there! We met the first year I attended and got to know each other over the coming months. We met up the second year I attended SECO and, after some discussion, decided it made sense to join forces. Good things happen at SECO!

I was reluctant to go to SECO – well maybe intimidated is a better word. I knew some of the people – and I respect them, but I didn’t want to go there being the ‘littlest kid on the block’. First off, I wasn’t – there were some brand new investors, some small portfolio, old guys (like me) – and some real rock stars. I learned something from everyone – the workshops were probably my favorite part of SECO — the real juice is in networking with community owners and vendors at breakfast and dinner / after dinner networking, brainstorming and tips and tricks. Loved SECO – this year I am taking my wife and son.
